When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

I was a bit iffy about posting this, since it was an experiment that (in my eyes anyway) only turned out so so, but some seemed to like it so I thought I would share.
This is for another challenge over on flickr, the theme was body art or body writing. I got a crazy idea, crazy and strong enough that I went out and bought paint. This photo is based on the famous Japanese painting The Great Wave off Kanagawa. (If you've never seen it: [link]) One of the few things I like about myself is my hands. I've also always liked that painting and thought the curls in the waves looked like fingers. It's no real wonder the idea came so naturally to me. It was harder than I thought to execute and the results are interesting but not the greatest, partially because I can't paint worth a damn. But it was a fun challenge to meet and a unique result came out of it. |

Let me open whichever door I might open.

Now, satisfy my curiosity, spawned by the hand which is painted... Are you right-handed or left-handed? XD
I'm right handed actually. I wouldn't have been able to paint and operate the camera properly with my left.

Only, I can't help but think, the picture would have been better hadn't the boat been cut

Au hasard d'une rue, une nuit
Je poursuit les ombres qui s'égarent
Ô grotesque songe qu'est la vie.
